LOTR characters as children?
I thought this might be funny.
What were the various LOTR characters like when they were toddlers? five or six year olds? teenagers? Like, what sort of trouble would they have gotten into, what would their parents think, stuff like that? Looking forward to seeing your replies.

I can see Merry and Pippin being those toddlers who will destroy something if you don't watch their every move.
I can see Gandalf as a little kid shouting spells at any door or wall, trying to open them.

What about Frodo? I could see him as a little tike who cries his eyes out at the sight of big cloaked figures and very large birds..
And as for Sauron... he'd be that kid who likes to torture his toys.. and have a gang who goes and bullies little kids... but secretly he has a soft side and an affection for jewelry [ August 07, 2003: Message edited by: ElenCala Isil ]

I know its not quite LOTR, but can anyone imagine what Fëanor's teen years must have been like?

Gimli and his friends probably got into competitions to see who could whack the heads off the most action figures before their parents yelled at them!

I can see Arwen as one of those teenagers who reads magazine articles on "How to charm your crush" (must been a very trust worthy advice eh?)
Eowyn would have one of those wooden toy swords, and she'd attack any poor soul that happened to wear a black robe.

Elrond would be the serious little guy, who was sitting in his room reading all day and didn't have any friends; the other kids didn't like to talk to him, because he kept telling them how stupid they were, when they could believe that ... whatever, but you get my picture!
Sam would always do what mummy and daddy said, including gartnering 'n stuff

ledolas and arwen would always end up pulling each other's hair.
aragorn would be a little arrogant like "Step aside dude, yah don't wanna mess up with a future king". hehehe Gandalf would always end up being scolded for smoking at a young age. Feanor is the angsty teen-ager. The hobbits were fat little boys who spell DISASTER. Eowyn is the kid who always cut her hair so that people thought that she's Eomer (a reason why Eomer is annoyed). Eomer and Theoden's son always bullied Eowyn 'coz she wanted to play with the boys but they dont want to. Arwen, Leggy, and Saruman would always share beauty secrets. Gollum would be addicted to chocolate gold coins. [ August 22, 2003: Message edited by: Finiel ]

Smeagol would have sharing issues. Bad sharing issues.
Merry and Pippin would be the two popular kids that have their own secret handshake, and know what each other are gonna say. Wormtongue would be one of those gothic kids that sit in the corner and wish they had a girlfriend, but are too scary for anyone to like.

Everyone would think Legolas was a girl. And he'd have a tendency to run into things (what, you think he was always graceful?). And Pippin wouldn't be able to say his own name correctly... Gimli would be shaving since he was eight. Boromir would be the the big brother who picks on Faramir because Denethor always was nicer to Boromir.

I think that Legolas would be thought of as gay because he looks so perfect all the time
Elrond would be a really smart kid, but all the other kids would be kind of intimidated by him since he's so smart. He'd always be reading and stuff. I don't know why, but for some reason I think that Frodo would eat a lot of strawberry ice cream. I'm serious, I don't know where that came from, but I do...

I think that Legolas would be the freakily perfectionist kid (like me! ) who always seems to get straight A's, and always looks impeccably groomed (ok, that is sooo not me!).

I think Legolas and Aragorn would be very athletic and be in all the sports in school. Also every last girl would have a crush on them.
Arwen would be that snoty popular girl since she was an elf princess. She would always brag about being Elrond's daughter and all. Sam would be that kid who loved Science class especially if it was about plants. Frodo would be that normal kid you thought nothing was going to happened to him. Merry and Pippin who be like Denis the menis times two. Teasing girls, bother people, always trying to help but making things worse. Gandlaf as a kid?.....geez I donno I think his spells who be on whack!! His lightning bolts and fire balls going every which way at home. Gimli would be that kid who never did his homework, and always spoke his mind to the teachers!! Boromir would be a daddy's boy but Faramir would always be off playing in the woods. Saurman would be the best friend of Gandalf always helping him with his spells, but always looking down on other people. WormT who be that kid in the corner who no one talks to. Eowyn would always try to get away as a boy or playing with swords Eomer would be very protective of his sister and also start a club called the Rohirrim Club. Treebeard would be trying to grow up quickly, but when he did he got more slow. Gollum would be a very happy child. Especially on his birthday! I may be back with more right now I can't think of any more charaters! |

Hang on, reviving topic.
Aragorn would always be yelled at for playing in mud puddles and dirtying up the house, plus grossing Elrond and his mom out with whatever frog/lizard/bug/etc. he managed to find in the woods. Boromir would get into mischief all the time (such as breaking Denethor's favorite suit of armor, picking branches off the White Tree, etc.) and then blame it on Faramir so he wouldn't get in trouble for it. And Denethor would always think Boromir was so perfect and that Faramir was getting into trouble when it was really the other way around all the time. <font size=1 color=339966>[ 5:57 PM January 19, 2004: Message edited by: Meneltarmacil ]

Mehehehehehehe!!! I just imagined the Nazgul as the "Little Rascals!" This would make a good parody, but I'm to lazy to write one.
Sauron would be the kid who pulls wings off flies to watch them wriggle. Pippin and Merry would always get in trouble for throwing drinking parties on the weekend. Smeagol would be the kid who filches pocket money from his mom's purse. "My preciousss coins! They are so shiny and bright!" Faramir would be the shy, cute guy who always sits at the back of the class. Boromir would be the loud, annoying, yet somehow respected jock.

Boromir would be the kid who pulls the fire alarm and blames the poor kid who just happens to walk by......
Sauron would be the gothic-delinquint Aragorn would be the one tracking his muddy boots everywhere, yet still gets A's in every class

I'd keep passing notes to Aragorn asking to borrow his sword......

I saw this original play last year called "Bilbo's Lost Journal". Don't ask...it was terrible! I mean...pick up a book people. Anywho, they had a little Legolas in there, he was adorable. He looked like Inuyasha as a boy if you know who that is. He and his elf friends were always practicing their shots with arrows and making fun of Legolas for being prince. It was adorable.
I think that Sauron didn't have much of a childhood. Sitting in the heavens beyond next to Melkor singing 2 part harmonies all the time. Fun. Gandalf too, only he'd sit next to Manwe cause he's in wit da Windlord y'all. Our hobbits would have had the best childhood. Frodo, Pippin and Merry off in the fields terrorizing the neighbors and eating their mushrooms. I wonder when they all met anyway. I'm sure Frodo met Sam through Bilbo though.

I know this isn't true to the books but here it goes.
Little Legolas and little Gimli would always play tricks on each other. Like Legolas would steal Gimli's favorite axe and run back to Mirkwood as Gimli tries to catch him but can't. Gimli, to get revenge, would steal Legolas's lucky bow, hid it, and laugh as he watches Legolas try and find it.

~Faramir would be constantly getting picked on, and Boromir would have to come to his rescue
~Eomer, Theodred, Eothain, ect would always have been making little barrow-forts and wouldn't let Eowyn join their 'eored club' ~Morgoth and Sauron would have had thier own little gang and gone around stealing lunch money and giving out wedgies! ~Pippin would be constantly putting everything in his mouth as a toddler ~Sam would always have been anoyed at Rose for tagging along when he went to play with her brothers ~Gandalf setting his first cherry bomb underneath Saruman as he sits down Well, that's the best I've got!
