"Then you have purpose m'lady" replied Soronūmė after listening to her sad tale. "I am truly sorry to hear of your family, but I am sure that you will find out who did the deed in time". Eruwen smiled at him as Soronūmė continued, "but at present, enjoy your time here. You will indeed meet many creatures and befriend them". "I intend to" replied Eruwen with a quiet laugh.
The two sat for a while in silence. Eruwen noticed that Soronūmė had become uneasy, he was glancing around the room. Turning back to the table he spoke "If you will excuse me m'lady, I shall retire." Eruwen was puzzled but nodded as Soronūmė raised the hood of his mantle to his head and stood up. "Namarie, fair maiden" he whispered as he left the table, headed for the room Dwarin had prepared for him.
Eruwen was left alone. Drink still in hand she mused over the sudden departure of Soronūmė then looked up.
